Tang v. Regional Center Holdings Group Inc.

Los Angeles Superior Court, Case No. BC549876

In a complex defamation action involving two employment law boutique firms that filed a cross-complaint for wrongful termination, Attorney Ray Hsu obtained a complete defense victory. The Hon. Steven Kleifield (Ret.) granted Mr. Hsu’s Motion for Summary Judgment and denied the opposing parties’ cross-motion. The statutory writ appeal was later denied, and the case was ultimately resolved on favorable terms.
Result: Defense Summary Judgment Granted – Writ Denied – Case Settled.

Dai v. Crystal Hotel LLC

Los Angeles Superior Court, Case No. BC620154

Tried to a jury verdict in a sexual harassment defense case where the plaintiff sought over $1 million in damages. The jury awarded $81,023.07, + $0 punitive damages.
Result: Jury Verdict – Award Reduced from $1,000,000 Demand to $81,023.07 – No Settlement.

Liao v. Sahn Sahn International, Inc., et al.

Los Angeles County Superior Court, Case No. 20STCV02919 (2022)

Defended a Mandarin-speaking client in a high-stakes civil action, securing a full defense judgment despite the client’s language limitations and multiple failed settlement attempts.
Result: Defense Judgment – No Settlement.

Alejandra Ramirez v. Yingde Hao

Los Angeles Superior Court, Case No. BC709016 (2022)

Represented the plaintiff in a sensitive sexual harassment trial and obtained a judgment exceeding $100,000 after trial. The result demonstrated the firm’s ability to advocate effectively for victims of workplace misconduct.
Result: Plaintiff’s Verdict – Judgment Over $100,000 – No Settlement.

Yingde Hao v. Szechuwan Garden Restaurant, et al.

San Bernardino County Superior Court, Case No. CIVDS1808257 (2021)

Successfully defended a restaurant owner in a wage-and-hour trial, establishing the management exemption and obtaining a complete defense judgment. Judge also entered a Judgment of Dismissal with Prejudice to the Private Attorney General Act (PAGA)
Result: Defense Judgment – No Settlement.

Orange Grove Service, Inc. v. Dimiya, Inc., et al.

Orange County Superior Court (2017)

Achieved a complete defense judgment even though the client was unable to testify due to visa restrictions in China. The Court further granted the motion for attorney’s fees, confirming the firm’s strategic litigation advantage.
Result: Defense Judgment + Attorney’s Fees Awarded – No Settlement.
